Staphylococcal Complement Inhibitor (SCIN)-B
Two SCIN homologues were identified that have complement inhibitory properties similar to SCIN. These SCIN homologues (SCIN-B and SCIN-C) are located on another Immune Evasion Cluster in S. aureus, IEC-2. The two homologues are found in all S. aureus strains that contain SCIN-B or SCIN-C.
