Casein agar plate

Agar plate with casein to demonstrate the secretion of proteases by Staphylococcus aureus. Most isolates show a clear halo around the bacteria due to proteolysis of casein whereby the milky appearence disapears. Note that one of the isolates (KV83) does not show a halo.
